That barn is my happy place. Go inside, you’ll see what I mean. On top of that, they sell fresh delicious milk, homemade yoghurt, fresh chicken eggs, duck eggs occasionally.... pass by, you won’t regret it.

About us

Sweet River Farm is a small husband and wife farm. We farm because we love animals and enjoy a life that revolves more around a old fashioned do it yourself type of living. We are truly a small farm only milking one or two cows once daily. We let our cows raise their calves allowing them to nurse naturally. This means less milk for us to use and sell but in our hearts we feel this is best for the cows and calves.  We grass feed, in the warmer months this means the animals forage on pasture, when there is no grass in the cooler seasons they are fed high quality hay and alfalfa pellets. We are also working silvopasturing into our farm to create a balance with our animals and land. We always turn towards organic practices unless it's not best for an animal. Our land has been organically farmed since 1743 as far as we are aware. It is important to us that we keep this land pure. When you buy from us you are supporting our wonderful animals and allowing us to care for them. Without you we could not share our lives with these wonderful creatures.
You can not get much fresher, we bottle our milk on our farm every morning, make our own yogurt and butter and put the eggs out straight from the nest!  Our farm store is in our barn and you can meet our animals. Give a good "Here Girl" holler and the cows will usually mosey on over for a good neck scratch.
We love people visiting our barn! Please do remember though that this is where we and our animals live. You are guests in our home. Best wishes,
Jon, Angie and River our dog
